The DFW Terminal C Renovation Program represents a multi-phase redevelopment effort within the Central Terminal Area (CTA) at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The program focuses on modernizing aging terminal infrastructure while improving passenger experience, airline operations, and terminal support facilities.

The renovation includes improvements to approximately 597,000 square feet of terminal space across both the arrivals and concourse levels of Terminal C. Work includes modernization of passenger circulation areas, concessions, airline support spaces, restrooms, vertical circulation elements, and passenger amenities throughout the terminal.

Major infrastructure improvements include upgrades to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, modernization of baggage handling infrastructure, and construction of new service and support spaces required to accommodate modern airport operations. Additional work includes development of airline operational spaces, passenger seating and waiting areas, concessions, and other amenities designed to improve the overall passenger experience.

Because Terminal C remains an active operating terminal serving American Airlines and other airport users, construction activities are implemented through carefully coordinated phasing strategies to maintain safe aircraft operations and uninterrupted passenger movement while renovation work proceeds.

APR supported RIB U.S. Cost by providing aviation estimating expertise and cost intelligence associated with terminal renovation and redevelopment activities at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. APR’s estimating professionals contributed aviation construction cost insights derived from active airport capital programs and comparable terminal redevelopment projects across the United States.

Using practical knowledge of airport terminal modernization projects, APR helped inform aviation construction cost data used within the RIB U.S. Cost estimating and cost management platform. APR’s experience with large airport renovation programs helped strengthen benchmarking inputs related to terminal redevelopment, building systems modernization, and passenger facility improvements.

APR’s participation provided real-world estimating perspective derived from active airport infrastructure programs, helping support development of aviation cost intelligence relevant to terminal renovation projects nationwide.

  • Prepared conceptual and design-phase cost estimates supporting Terminal C Phase 1A and Phases 2 & 3 renovation planning
  • Performed quantity takeoffs and constructability reviews for terminal renovation scope including passenger areas, concessions, service spaces, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Supported estimating activities at multiple design milestones (70%, 90%, and Issued-for-Permit stages) to assist the project team in evaluating scope development and budget alignment
  • Assisted with evaluation and validation of CMAR contractor proposals and cost submissions during project development
  • Provided change order analysis and cost validation support for ongoing terminal modernization work
  • Contributed aviation construction cost insights derived from active airport capital programs and comparable terminal redevelopment projects nationwide
  • Applied benchmarking information from DFW Airport estimating systems and historical project data to inform cost modeling and analysis
  • Coordinated with airport program controls and estimating teams to support consistent cost reporting and documentation across multi-phase renovation activities
  • Provided estimating perspective associated with phased construction within an active airport terminal environment, helping stakeholders evaluate cost drivers and operational constraints
