The Princeton Plasma Innovation Center (PPIC) is currently in design phases for a new Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL). As a DOE facility, the activities at PPPL tie directly to the mission of DOE and its six program areas.
The new PPIC facility will house various laboratory user groups including Diagnostics, PS&T, Boundary Physics, Superconducting Magnet, Theory/Computation, and Sustainability. The programmatic split is anticipated to be approximately 45% lab space, 25% offices, 25% collaboration space, and 5% support space. It will accommodate state-of-the-art laboratory facilities to further the Office of Science’s mission. APR’s estimating activities account for site development and new construction of an approx. 67,575 S.F. facility.
