Project Description

This project supported the lease acquisition for replacement space of the NIH Institutional Center’s Neuroscience and Data Center spaces. The APR team worked with our client SmithGroupJJR at the 50%, 95%, and Final phases of the POR process. The APR team developed functional space area cost models that were applied to over 1,000 spaces necessary to support the National Institute of Mental Health space, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke space, National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorder spaces, Office of Strategic Coordination spaces, Office of Research Services spaces, and Office of Research Facilities spaces. Each department included their own Data Center and the Data Center support spaces. The APR estimates were reconciled and withheld scrutiny from each stakeholder.
