Overview

APR supported DFW Airport’s Controls & Analytics team in improving the review of contractor Job Order Contract estimates. The team needed a more consistent way to issue internal estimate information, receive contractor submissions, and compare the two in a format suitable for validation and reconciliation.

The need was not simply for faster review, but for a more reliable and repeatable framework for estimate comparison.

APR Role and Solution

APR developed a utility that extracts estimate data, organizes it into a standard structure for contractor use, and then compares contractor submissions back to the internal estimate upon receipt. The system presents both line-by-line and side-by-side comparisons to support reconciliation.

This created a standardized review environment that made it easier to identify differences and maintain consistency across JOC estimate evaluations.
